Watch 85-year-old Spurs legend Cliff Jones shows off fitness in home workout ?

For a decade, Cliff Jones was at the centre of Tottenham's glory years as they took English football by storm back in the 1960s. Now, at the age of 85, he's still leading by example.

Jones was part of the side that won the League and FA Cup double in 1960/61 before clinching their first European trophy, the Cup Winners' Cup, in 1963.

And despite his advancing years, club legend Jones – who made 378 appearances scoring 135 goals for Spurs – has demonstrated how age is no excuse for not keeping fit and staying active.

The coronavirus lockdown has forced the closure of gyms and some local parks, which means people have been participating in home workout videos.

The Welshman has followed the lead of fitness gurus such as Joe Wicks and The Motivator by filming a video from his own back garden.

In the three-minute clip, Jones starts off with a warm-up with some jogging on the spot before moving onto hip rotation.

But then he ups the tempo, turning that gentle jog into a sprint on the spot shouting "here we go, here we go" before taking a breather.

Even more impressively, the former winger throws in some press-ups and squat thrusts for good measure before concluding with a round of 'boxercise', a combination of boxing punches without the gloves.

Perhaps Jose Mourinho's side could benefit from following Jones' home workout - in accordance with government guidelines, of course.
