The Al Ain machine has continued to function without their talismanic forward in recent weeks, but there is no doubt they are a different proposition when the powerful Ghanaian leads the line.
He scored one, but could so easily have walked away with the match ball.
The league title is theirs in everything but name, but Gyan's return takes on even greater importance as they look to advance to the knockout stages of the AFC Champions League.
