Ghana's President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo showed his footballing skills during the commissioning of the astroturf at the University of Professional Studies here in Accra over the weekend.
The president who is also a passionate Tottenham and Asante Kotoko fan showed his prowess with ball.
In attendance at the commissioning of the facility was Ghana's all-time leading scorer Asamoah Gyan.
Asamoah Gyan joined the President on the field for him to kick the ball at the blast of the whilst to officially commission the field.
The cost of the astroturf is estimated at around GH¢4 million generated from the University’s internal funds.
The field has a FIFA standard pitch, 5,000 seating capacity, floodlights, changing rooms and offices for the school’s sports directorate amongst others.
