Watford move to end Roma winger’s nightmare year

Juan Iturbe’s torrid time at Serie A giants Roma will come to an end with a loan move to Premier League Watford.

The Argentine had shown promise in the early months of his Lupi career, since joining from Hellas Verona in 2014, but a poor end to the last campaign was not reversed by scoring the winner against Lazio in May and the 2015/16 season has been an underwhelming one for Iturbe.

The 22-year-old is set for a loan move to Watford, the newly-promoted who have impressed under coach Quique Sanchez Flores, and is in London to finalise the deal according to Sky Sports.

It is not the first time that Roma have looked to offload the winger, having offered him to Serie A side Genoa for a loan move that fell through late on in the summer transfer window.
