We are beating Hearts on Sunday - Wydad midfielder Yahya Gibran

Wydad Athletic Club midfielder Yahya Gibran remains confident ahead of Hearts of Oak's clash in the CAF Champions League.

Despite a first leg defeat to the Ghanaian champions, the Moroccan midfielder insists the target is to reach the Group stages and that will happen by beating the Phobians.

"We take full responsibility for qualifying to the Group stages and over coming the Ghanaian team on Sunday," he told reporters.

Hearts hold a 1-0 advantage and need to avoid a two goal defeat to progress to the Group stages.

The Phobians arrived on Friday night and will head straight to their hotel before training on Saturday morning ahead of Sunday's clash.

The Ghanaian giants left Accra on Thursday and transited in Dubai before touching down in Casablanca.

The Phobians traveled with a fit squad as Raddy Ovouka passed a last minute test to join the team for the trip.

Meanwhile, Wydad are still waiting for the result of coach Walid Regragui's COVID test after missing the first leg for testing positive.

They are also without key player Sallahudin Benisho for the game at the Mohammed V stadium on Sunday.
