‘We are not the only club owing players’ - Eleven Wonders owner on not paying players for three months

Owner of Ghana Premier League club Techiman Eleven Wonders, Nana Ameyaw is unbothered by criticism for not paying his players for more than three months.

It is reported that players have not received their salaries since October last year, before the start of the current season.

The club has been widely criticized but Ameyaw has explained that the situation is as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

“In this covid-19 time we are not the only club that owed players in Ghana, a team in the premier league owed their players for almost 8 months so why XI Wonders has been the topic in the media,” Nana Ameyaw told Atinka FM.

“I have provided accommodation for the players very close to their training centre with water and food at least I’m doing my best for them.

Wonders are a place above the relegation zone.
