Kotoko midfielder Emmanuel Antwi says his outfit is ready to for the upcoming season as they prepare to lock horns with Karela in their opening game of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League.
The new season is set to kick off this weekend and The Porcupine Warriors are confident ahead of the task as they continue to intensify their training ahead of the season.
travel to face Karela United at the Naa Sheriga Sports Complex on Sunday.
Speaking ahead of their opener, former Great Olympics midfielder Emmanuel Antwi stated his tam's willingness to get a victory against Karela United.
“The mood in camp is very positive. I can assure our fans that we are ready to grab the three points on Sunday against Karela United and that’s what we are looking forward to.
“We really have quality players and everybody wants to play. Everybody is prepared to put up his best performance to secure maximum points and make our fans and coaches proud” he told the club’s media.
Kotoko are hoping for a strong season having settled for a sixth-place finish last season. As a result, they got rid of more than 20 players in a massive overhaul, bringing in 13 players which including Antwi.
