Lesotho International and Tunisian based midfielder Bokang Mothoana of Union Sportive Monastir has urged his teammates to rise to the occasion when the Crocodiles host Zambia at Setsoto stadium in Maseru on Sunday.

He told Cafonline.com that they want to cause a major upset of this weekend 2014 World Cup qualifying matches by beating the former African champions.

Mothoana, who is one of a few players in the Lesotho team playing outside the country, is optimistic the Crocodiles have what it takes to outplay their more experienced opponents.

Cafonline.com: Lesotho is at the bottom of this group with just a point having lost 0-7 to Ghana in the opening match and managing a draw at home to Sudan, what are the plans for the Sunday match?

Bokang Mothoana: There is no doubt that Zambian are the better side on paper after featuring in the last two editions of the Orange Africa Cup of Nations, but we are prepared to show them that we are also a good team that can beat any side on our day. We will also draw inspiration from the fact that Lesotho won 3-1 in the penalties the last time the two teams played each other in the quarterfinals of the regional COSAFA CUP challenge in 2000.

Cafonline.com: How important will it be to have the home ground advantage hosting the former African champions on Sunday?

Bokang Mothoana: it is always a motivating factor playing in front of our home supporters and a win over a team of Zambia's quality will be a morale booster heading into our last two games against Sudan and Ghana.

Cafonline.com: Do have any special plans for the wounded Zambian team that crashing-out of the Orange Africa Cup of Nations without a win and in the process failing to defend their title?

Bokang Mothoana: We have nothing special for them, the plan is to go out there and give our best shot. We want to make our fans happy and.

Cafonline.com: Despite the home ground advantage, Lesotho remains the underdogs for the Sunday game and what does that say to you as players?

Bokang Mothoana: It is good because Zambian will be under more pressure while it gives us a chance to cause an upset. Football is full of surprises and the fact that Lesotho beat them in the last meeting at the same ground will motivate us even more.

Cafonline.com: How important is for your team to win this match?

Bokang Mothoana: We are winless in our last two group D matches with only a point in the bag and we have to go all out against Chipolopolo in search of the three points.

Cafonline.com: are there any injury problems in your team ahead of the Sunday crucial tie?

Bokang Mothoana: Yes, a few of our player have slight injury concerns, but we are hopefully they will have recovered before the game. Only midfielder, Thulo Ranchobe, seems to be out of this game as his injury is very serious.
