Black Queens forward Prince Adubea is beaming in confidence ahead of Ghana's international friendly against Japan in Tokyo.
The Black Queens led by coach Nora Hauptle left Ghana on Sunday for Tokyo to continue preparations ahead of the high-profile friendly on July 13.
Adubea, who is making a return to the team after an injury setback, was part of a 22-player squad that left for the Asian country.
"First of all, I will thank the Almighty God for how far He has brought me. It wasn’t easy, I think I was out of football for about months and it wasn’t easy for me. As a footballer you need to be tough in everything so I will say I am thankful to God for how far He has brought me, I am so excited to be back," she told Ghanafa.org.
Despite the pedigree of Japan in women's football, Adubea believes the Black Queens are good enough to match the Olympics-bound team.
"The Japanese side are a good side but we are going to play as a team together so we need to be compact and focused. We don’t really care about their World ranking as I know we can match them. We are going to play as a team and I know at the end of the day we are going to achieve what we deserve," she added.
