Heart of Lions assistant coach Daniel Nii Adjei says his outfit performance was not enough to save them from defeat against Bechem United in the Ghana Premier League.
The Kpando-based club succumbed to a 3-0 defeat to the Hunters in matchday 16 of the Ghanaian top-flight at the weekend.
A brace from Emmanuel Abban and Darlvin Yeboah’s strike was enough for Bechem united to snatch maximum points at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park on Sunday.
Speaking to the media, the former Asante Kotoko midfielder commended his outfit performance but said it was not enough to escape defeat.
“We played very well despite the defeat. We conceded two late goals in the first half but I think the boys did their best just that, it wasn’t enough to win this game. We will work on our mistake for subsequent games” he said.
Despite the defeat, heart of Lions remain top of the Ghana Premier League table with 30 points after 16 matches.
