'We dont celebrate draws'- Hearts denies paying 800gh after Karela game

Ghana Premier League side Hearts of Oak have denied reports in the media on paying  800ghc to their players following last Sunday’s game against Karelia United.

The Phobians came from a goal down to snatch a point at the Crosby Awuah Park at Ayinese in this match day 21.

Diwiase Taylor had put the home side in front before Kwadwo Obeng Junior got the equalizer for Hearts of Oak in the second half.

In a statement signed by the Communications Director Kwame Opare Addo, the club has denied paying monies to the players after the game.

"Reports making round that our Board chairman Togbe Afede XIV has given each player 800ghc after drawing Karela on Sunday is absolutely false and must be ignored"

"We want to emphasize that as club we dont celebrate draws. That is ridiculous and self demeaning. A promise was made for victory, but the players missed it".

"We appealing to all who wish to talk on issues of the club to cross check their facts before publication and desist from fabricating stories concerning the club".

Hearts of Oak are the result on matchday 21 is placed third on the league table with 34 points.
