We gifted Aduana all the chances to beat us - Hearts of Oak coach Ouattara

Hearts of Oak head coach Aboubakar Ouattara has criticised his players’ performance following their 2-0 defeat to Aduana FC in an outstanding Ghana Premier League fixture at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Stadium in Dormaa.

The Phobians were second-best throughout the match, with goals from Sam Adams in the 31st minute and Latif Bamba in the 88th condemning them to their fourth defeat in seven games.

The result sees Hearts drop to seventh on the league table, while Aduana climb to 11th place.

Speaking after the match, Coach Ouattara did not hold back in his assessment of the team’s showing on the day.

“Aduana played well, we didn’t play football today. We gave them all the chances to score us. We played very badly, we accept it; today we were not good, we were not good at all, we didn’t play well,” Ouattara said.

The loss deepens Hearts of Oak’s recent struggles, with just one win in their last eight league outings.

The former champions will aim to bounce back when they host Karela United on Sunday, April 20, in a bid to revive their faltering campaign and restore confidence among their supporters.
