Ghana midfielder Alfred Duncan has disclosed that Sassuolo were shocked by their defeat to serie A returnees Parma a fortnight ago. 

Sassuolo have a had a good start to the season but were stunned by Parma on Match Day 13 after suffering a 2-1 defeat at Stadio Ennio Tardini.

The Nerovredi sit eighth on the serie A table after a 0-0 draw with Udinese on Sunday and after the game Duncan reveled the loss to Parma gingered them for the clash with the Zebras.

"I think it was a good race on our part, but we could not put the ball inside. Compared to last week we have grown, we have had many chances but we have not managed to materialize," he said after the goalless draw against Udinese.
