New Asante Kotoko coach Karim Zito is determined to lead the team to the Premier League title, despite being six points shy of the top spot with six games left.
Zito, who replaced Prosper Narteh Ogum, believes that 18 points are up for grabs and is confident that Kotoko can still make a strong push for the title.
The former Black Satellites boss has been appointed as the Technical Director of the Porcupine Warriors and will double as an interim boss following the sack of Prosper Ogum who had struggled in the last few weeks with the club.
"Six matches, 18 points can change a lot," Zito said during his unveiling. "So it's not over until it's over. I know we will play against those at the top. So we will fight until the end."
Zito's first challenge will be a Premier League match against Aduana FC at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Zito brings a wealth of experience to Kotoko, having guided Dreams FC to a historic CAF Confederation Cup semi-final and led Ghana’s U-20 team to the 2021 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations title.
His appointment has generated excitement among Kotoko fans, who are eager to see him lead the team to success.
