"We will provide him psychological support"- AmaZulu coach after Richard Ofori's error against Chiefs

AmaZulu FC coach Arthur Zwane has disclosed that the club will provide goalkeeper Richard Ofori the needed support after his error in the 2-2 draw against Kaizer Chiefs.

The Ghana international strangely spilled the ball into his own net as Chiefs levelled three minutes after AmaZulu had taken a second half lead.

Despite producing some good saves within the match, the error overshadowed his performance, exposing him to social media criticisms.

“Unfortunately, football is a game of mistakes. But as I said earlier on, he kept us in the game in the first half. Sometimes, when the pressure mounts, you are bound to crack,": he told Super Sports TV.

"I think he made those crucial mistakes that both of them on any given day, you would save them, make them look easy, but it happens," he added.

“Now it’s our job as coaches to try and help him psychologically because we need him. He’s been doing fantastically well for the team."

Ofori is expected to keep his place between the sticks when AmaZulu hosts Gallants tonight.
