Theophilus Anorba insists the title race is far from over

Medeama wingerTheophilus Anorba insists the title race is far from over, despite the shock 2-1 defeat at home to Liberty Professionals.

The Mauves and Yellows have fallen behind a near one point behind Berekum Chelsea at the top of the Ghana Premier League table with just six games remaining.

Medeama had enjoyed a tremendous success since the turn of the year but was hit by Liberty Professionals at their own backyard.

The former Ashantigold attacking enforcer insists his teammates will fight to the end and not given up yet.

“We know that the supporters are downhearted but they should bear in mind that all is not lost,” Anorba told the club’s official website

“We have about six matches to go and we have to play both Kotoko and Chelsea and if we take our chances, why can’t we beat them?

“So I want us to put the defeat behind us and focus on the matches ahead since the league is ours for the taken this year."

Medeama will travel to Kumasi to face Kotoko in a must-win game on Wednesday.
