RSC Anderlecht team manager Ludo Vandewalle has warned that his outfit will not be bullied into selling Ghanaian prodigy Jérémy Doku for less than €10 million.

Doku has been one of the Purple and White lads key cogs in the ongoing campaign.

The 17-year-old winger’s distinctive form has seen him linked with a host of top European sides including Liverpool and Manchester United.

However, Anderlecht team manager Vanderwalle insists his side are not looking to sell the youngster any time soon but a figure of over €10 million could be enough to change their stance.

"We saw not only the youngest, but also the best Anderlecht on the move this season. Much of the confusion was sown by Jérémy Doku," Vandewalle told Het Nieuwsblad.

"The 17-year-old from Antwerp is a lightning bolt. When he starts, the opponent only sees his heels. A characteristic that gives a player a figurative lead in today's football. His continuation is no longer really dramatic, but still could be improved.”

"Now that it has apparently become a business model for Anderlecht to sell their own talents for a lot of money - see Bornauw and Saelemaekers -, the next golden rooster is already known. But for less than ten million euros they should not let this brilliant thing go. In the background the question whether it is a good idea to let your own talents go so early, of course,” says Vandewalle.

Doku has netted 1 goal and provided 2 assists in 18 matches for Anderlecht in the ongoing season.
