Captain of West African Football Academy (WAFA) Gideon Waja says they are not ready to relinquish their top spot place in the Ghana Premier League standings.

The Sogakofe-based side have started the campaign magnificently as they currently occupy summit of the league log with 20 points after 10 games.

The attacking midfielder says they are determined to hold on to the position up until the season comes to a close.

“It’s about determination, morale and the encouragement we give ourselves that keeps us going" Waja told GNA Sports

"Our target is to be in the top four but we also hope to maintain our current position and hopefully win the league,”

WAFA will travel to Elmina to battle out with Elmina Sharks in the week eleven of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
