The manager of Acceler8z FC, Salawodin Imran is upbeat ahead of his team’s MTN FA Cup showdown with Asante Kotoko.
The Ashanti Region Division Two League outfit will face off with the Ghanaian giants in a Round 32 clash on Sunday, January 12.
Speaking ahead of the game, manager Salawodin Imran indicated his team’s readiness, insisting that although Acceler8z FC will be facing their grandfathers in football, they are not scared.
“We have nothing to lose, but we have everything to gain. Of course, they are our grandfathers in football, but we are ready to upset Kotoko. We are determined to make history,” the manager of the lower-tier side said as quoted on the Ghana FA website.
The match between Asante Kotoko and Acceler8z FC is just one of several interesting games that will be played this weekend in the MTN FA Cup.
Among the other Round 32 games that will be played, record winners Hearts of Oak will also take on Home Stars FC.
All 32 remaining sides have prepared since Monday and looking forward to securing victory in their respective matches to advance to the Round of 16.
