West Brom leading chase for John Pantsil

The English media is reporting that Premier League new-boys West Brom are leading the chase for Fulham's Ghana international defender John Pantsil.

The 29-year-old is now back with the Cottagers following a successful World Cup finals where the Black Stars reached the quarter finals before having their hearts broken by Uruguay.

Fulham have just named Mark Hughes as their new boss and it is believed the ex-Manchester City manager could be prepared to let the defender leave.

The Craven Cottage outfit have been linked with Aston Villa right-back Luke Young and are mulling over selling Pantsil rather than losing him for free next summer.

The former West Ham defender, who has performed consistently at Premier League level, has one year left on his Fulham contract.
