Angelo Ogbonna of West Ham United believes Juventus star Paul Pogba is the best player he has played with during his career so far.
The two played together at the Bianconeri since 2013, when Ogbonna made the cross-city switch from Torino, with Pogba having joined from Manchester United the previous year.
“The best is Paul Pogba,” Ogbonna said in an interview with Gazzetta World. “It’s not just Pogba, though.”
“I was really lucky to have played with a lot of great players like [Gianluigi] Buffon, [Andrea] Pirlo, [Arturo] Vidal and [Carlos] Tevez, too.”
The defender then went on to discuss his hopes of being called up for the upcoming European Championship, declaring his respect for Azzurri boss Antonio Conte, who he worked with during his spell at the Old Lady.
“I have a very good relationship with Conte,” he said.
“I respect him a lot.”
