Ghanaian football administrator Wilfred Osei Kwaku has praised Thomas Partey’s 2024/25 campaign as his finest since joining Arsenal.
The endorsement comes amid growing speculation about Partey’s future, as the midfielder enters the final year of his contract at the Emirates.
Kwaku, who discovered Partey as a young prospect in Ghana, pointed to the midfielder’s consistency and impact this season.
Partey has made 47 appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals and providing three assistsâhis highest tally since signing for the Gunners in 2020.
His appearance count surpasses his previous best of 40 games during the 2022/23 campaign.
Speaking to The Sun, Kwaku praised Partey’s influence on Arsenal’s midfield structure, particularly his ability to break up play and control transitions.
“He does things nobody else does. If you look at the goal Arsenal conceded against PSG, that’s normally where he dominates,” he said.
Partey was suspended for Arsenal’s UEFA Champions League semifinal first-leg loss to Paris Saint-Germain, and his absence was felt in the team’s inability to control the midfield.
Kwaku also believes Arsenal should keep faith in the 31-year-old.
“This is probably his best season since he went there, and if there’s a chance for him to stay, then that should be his home,” he added.
