Ghanaian defender Phil Ofosu-Ayeh has been released by English Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers after failing to kick a ball in an astonishing three years.

The 28-year-old has ended a nightmarish three years spell at Molineux where he hasn't made a single appearance since joining from German outfit Eintracht Braunschweig.

Ofosu-Ayeh spent majority of his time on loan while being frozen out under Nuno Espirito Santo along with with injuries

He has just made just 11 appearances in all competitions in the last three seasons, none of which have come in Wolves colours.

Ofosu-Ayeh has led the most nomadic career,  playing for SV Wilhelmshaven, VfB Oldenburg, Rot-Weiß Erfurt, MSV Duisburg, VfR Aalen, Braunschweig, Wolves, FC Hansa Rostock and Würzburger Kickers.

The right-back has only one cap for Ghana as he came on as substitute in an international friendly against Canada in October 2015.
