Black Queens striker Mukarama Abdulai led Northern Ladies to a flying start in the Ghana Women's Premier League as she scored a hat-trick in their 3-1 win over Ashtown Ladies on Saturday.
Mukarama scored two goals in the first half to give Northern Ladies a 2-1 lead at halftime.
The first was from the penalty spot after seven minutes before scoring a fine effort in the 31st minute.
She sealed the three points in the second half with a great strike.
The hat-trick means Mukarama has taken an early lead in the golden boot race and should she maintain her form will end the season with the award.
