World Cup 2006 winner GILARDINO quits playing football

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, 2000's-early 2010's big-time Italian striker Alberto Gilardino, who among all won World Cup 2006, as well as 2006/07 Champions League, the latter playing for AC Milan, decided to quit playing football, and become a trainer. Gila was a free agent after last July, after his last active season, playing for second-tier side Spezia.
