World Cup 2010: Exclusive - Ghana name youngsters for Latvia clash

Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac has benched most of his big names for Saturday's friendly clash with German-born Kevin Prince Boateng handed his first Black Stars start, Ghanasoccernet can exclusively reveal.

Defender Lee Addy will start in the left back position ahead of Hans Sarpei while another youngster Samuel Inkoom will replace John Pantsil in the right position.

John Mensah, who will captain the side, will play in his partnership with Isaac Vorsah for the first time, a combination that is expected to be used during the World Cup.

Kevin Prince Boateng will play in the centre of midfield along with Anthony Annan while the Prince Tagoe and Andre Ayew will take the right and left wing positions respectively.

Striker Asamoah Gyan will lead the attack while he playmaker Kwadwo Asamoah will player just behind the Rennes goalpoacher.

This means key players like captain Stephen Appiah and John Paintsil have been consigned to the bench.
