World Cup 2010: Ghana coach predicts tough clash with Australia

Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac has warned Australia to expect a dour struggle when the two sides clash in Group D of the World Cup on June 19.

The Serbian manager says he will not depart from his concept of a strong defence when the two sides clash in what could be a decider on who will reach the second second round.

Despite his insistence on defending well, Rajevac says they will open up to look for goals to as well in the game.

"We will not rush too much. We will not forget about our post. We need to think both offensively and defensively. We need to be responsible," Rajevac said.

"I'm sure Australia will do the same. (They) attack as much as the team allows you to and also you are trying to close and prevent them when they are attacking.''

Rajevac, who also adopts the 4-2-3-1 formation used by Australia, supported Socceroos coach Pim Verbeek's conservative game plan, saying managers should be judged on substance rather than style.

"A beautiful game is easy to be forgotten; the result is the most important,'' he said.

"If you don't have results, you will have problems. We played against Holland two days ago and they have exceptional players. These are the players with enormous prices in the transfer market and the value of them is very simple.

''If you play [an] open, beautiful game with them it's very difficult, so you need to be tactically wise, be more defensive and try to use some of their weaknesses to have results.''
