World Cup 2010: Ghana coach Rajevac evasive on future

Published on: 25 June 2010

Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac remains tight-lipped on his future after a successful spell in-charge of the Black Stars.

The Serb is dropping no hint on whether he will stay or not when his initial two-year deal expires at the end of August.

When asked on his national team future by the state-owned Graphic Sports, Milovan Rajevac requested the topic be deferred to another day as he focuses on the World Cup.

"I am not thinking about this now. Let's put it aside for the moment but it will be considered after the tournament," Rajevac, 56, said.

Rajevac is currently on a US$ 45,000 monthly salary and could ask for an increment to stay on.

In addition to qualifying Ghana to the World Cup, he was a losing finalist in both the 2009 CHAN tournament and 2010 Africa Cup of Nations finals.

Ghana engage USA on Saturday at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg in the second last 16 stage clash.
