The Ghana Football Association is planning to play a final friendly with a local South Africa side before the tournament begins on Friday.

Ghana played Latvia last Saturday in Milton Keynes in what was reported to be their final shakedown but this new plan will test their readiness.

"We have settled in well and this final warm-up match is meant to keep to keep the stars in shape and tournament mood," Ghana FA spokesperson Randy Abbey told Ghanasoccernet.com

The Black Stars were exposed last week in a 4-1 reverse to the Netherlands in Rotterdam but made amends in the Latvia friendly.

Untested duo Stephen Ahorlu and Rahim Ayew could been handed an opportunity to justify their inclusions if the friendly finalized.

World Cup finals England were tested by local side Platinum Stars on Monday.
