Striker Asamoah Gyan shrugged off an attack in the 93rd minute to score in Ghana's 2-1 win over USA and advance to the quarter-final at the World Cup.
Landon Donovan converted a 61st minute penalty kick to draw level.
Ghana took a first half lead through Kevin Prince Boateng on five minutes.
Boateng completed a solo run with fine low shot that beat goalkeeper Tim Howard.
Boateng intercepted a move in the centre circle and pressed forward before grabbing the opener in the 5th minute.
Ghana will set up a quarter-final clash with Uruguay who beat Korea 2-1 early on Saturday
