Yahaya Mohammed blasts Medeama for placing $100,000 price tag on Justice Blay

Aduana Stars striker Yahaya Mohammed has described as unreasonable the $100,000 price tag on midfielder Justice Blay.

The huge amount has been placed on the player by his parent club amid interest from Asante Kotoko, who are keen to resign the midfielder following his exploits on loan.

The Porcupine Warriors, under the leadership of new CEO Nana Yaw Amponsah, are said to have made contact with Medeama, but the amount seems too much for them.

And according to Yahaya, Medeama should make it easier for Kotoko, considering hardships brought by coronavirus pandemic.

“The $100,000 price tag on Medeama SC's Justice Blay isn't reasonable,” he told Asempa FM.

“We aren't in normal times, looking at the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.

“If the player wants to play Kotoko, both clubs should sit and discuss the future of the player but the price tag for me is unreasonable,” he added.

The 28-year-old won five man of the match awards before the season was cancelled.
