Yakubu Mambo threatens to expose Ashantigold management over coaching role fallout

Published on: 03 April 2020

Former assistant coach of Ashantigold Yakubu Mambo has threatened to expose management of the club following his managerial role fallout with the Miners.

Mambo was demoted to the youth team after leading the senior side to their worst defeat in the Ghana Premier League at WAFA. The 'Aboakese' lads were hammered 6-1 in Sogakope leading to queries from president of the club Dr Kwaku Frimpong.

The coach went on to resign from the club but explains there were untold stories surrounding the manner in which his demotion was handled and should the management 'dare' him, he will expose all the 'secrets' of the club.

“Dr. Kwaku Frimpong told me to step aside from the senior team and told me a letter will be given me to take charge of the youth team and I’m yet to receive that letter so how come they query me for not training with the youth,” he told Nhyira FM.

“Whether I tore the Query letter into pieces or not, I replied to them (Ashanti Gold management) after receiving it. They have noticed that the content of my reply is very serious. Should the management dare me, I will reveal all the secret of the club”
