Yartey scores and sets up winner for Servette

Ghana winger Ishmael Yartey put up a man-of-the-match performance for FC Servette as he scored and set up the winner in their 2-1 win over champions FC Basel on Sunday.

The 22-year-old wrapped up his fine season with a 12th minute left-footed effort.

The SL Benfica loanee swerved a Basel defender inside the box before sending a powerful shot which came off Basel keeper Yonni Sommer.

He turned the architect for Brazilian forward Eudi Silva to connect home the winner with six minutes left.

Yartey continued to threaten the Basel defence but was unable to grab his second goal as Basel pulled even through Cameroonian attacker Jacques Zoua in the 62nd minute.

The game appeared to be heading for a draw but Yartey collected the ball from a team-mate and weighed in a cross for Eudi to connect home the winner.

Yartey has been named in Ghana's 30-man squad for June's double-header against Lesotho and Zambia.
