Head coach of Young Apostles Joseph Asare Bediako has raised concerns about his outfits’ conversion rate in the Ghana Premier League campaign.
The club are yet to pick a win in the domestic top-flight, losing one and drawing one after two games into the season. Young Apostles suffered a 2-0 defeat to Nsoatreman FC in season opener followed by a pulsating goalless draw against Nations FC last Sunday.
Young Apostles faces a daunting task this weekend as they travel to face giants Asante Kotoko in matchday three at the Obuasi Len Clay. The Porcupine Warriors has relocated to Obuasi following the closure of the Baba Yara Stadium.
Ahead of the game, Asare Bediako has expressed concerns about his outfit firing power as they are yet to hit the back of the net in the top-flight.
“I’m feeling very bad. We’ve been working on scoring, yet the goals are not coming. Honestly, I don’t understand why we are not scoring but I’m sure we will score in our next game” he said.
Meanwhile, the former Hearts of Oak assistant coach has implored his players to do away with pressure when they take on the Porcupine Warriors.
“This is a good opportunity for the players to showcase their talent. They shouldn’t be under pressure playing against Asante Kotoko. If you are able to excel against Kotoko, people will see you as a great player” he added.
Young Apostles are 14th on the league standings with just a points after two games whiles Kotoko has three points from a game.
