Black Stars midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu hogged the headlines among Ghanaian players in Europe over the weekend after scoring with a bullet for Udinese. Christian Atsu also got on target in Holland.

ENGLAND

Arsenal produced a mastery to brush aside struggling Fulham 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium. Neither Emmanuel Frimpong nor Derek Boateng were in the game for Arsenal and Fulham.

Ghanaian-born Norwegian international Alexander Tettey warmed the bench for Norwich City who managed a narrow 1-0 win over Hull City at the Carrow Road.

Michael Essien lost his place in the Chelsea midfielder to Nemanja Matic as the Blues hammered Manchester United 3-1 at the Stamford Bridge. Samuel Eto'o hit a hat-trick for Chelsea.

In the Championship, versatile forward Jeffrey Schulpp did not travel with the Leicester City when they beat Leeds United 1-0 at the Elland Road.

Ghanaian teen Koby Arthur remained with the Birmingham City second string side when the first team lost 2-0 to struggling Yeovil Town at their own backyard.

Bernard Mensah was not in the Watford team in their 1-1 draw at AFC Bournemouth.

Albert Adomah was not in the Middlesbrough team for their 1-0 home triumph over Charlton Athletics.

TURKEY

In the Turkish second-tier division, Emmanuel Banahene was booked in the 45th minute and lasted the entire duration of the game for ?anl?urfaspor when Manisaspor punished them 2-0 at their own home grounds.

Kwame Karikari lasted 89 minutes for Balikesirspor who were surprisingly held to a 1-1 draw by Fethiyespor. Richard Kingson failed to make the Balikesirspor first team squad.

Former Hearts of Oak whizkid Torric Jebrin played the full 90 minutes and helped ten-man 1461 Trabzon to beat Denizlispor 5-1.

TUNISIA

Black Stars defender Harrison Afful played 81 minutes for Esperance de Tunis in their 3-0 home win over Hammam-Lif.

Former Great Olympics defender Seth Konadu was not in the CS Sfaxien starting line-up when they 0-0 with Métlaoui.

2013 Ghana U20 midfielder Seidu Salifu started from the bench for Club Africain when they won 1-0 against JS kairouanaise in the Tunisian Ligue 1.

BELGIUM

Bennard Kumordzi came off the bench to play 29 minutes for KRC Genk who suffered a 1-0 narrow loss at Zulte-Waregem. However, Belgian-born Ghanaian Marvin Ofori-Appiah could not make the Genk first team grades.

Frank Acheampong made an injury recovery to warm the bench for Anderlecht in their shocking 2-1 away loss to KV Mechelen. While Abdul Yakinu-Iddi was not in the Mechelen team, French-born Ghanaian Jerry Vandam played full time at the heart of defence for Mechelen.

Former Heart of Lions midfielder Abraham Kudemor watched from the bench as his Sporting Charleroi beat OH Leuven 2-0 with ten men.

Former Liberty Professionals youngster Eugene Nana Ansah sat on the Lokeren bench in their 3-0 away triumph over Cercle Brugge.

Daniel Opare suffered a foot injury and was replaced just after 37 minutes in Standard Liege's 2-0 win over KV Oostende.

Nana Akwasi Asare was booked in the 32nd minute and lasted the entire 90 minutes for KAA Gent in their 1-0 home loss to Kortrijk.

SOUTH AFRICA

Ghanaian midfielder Edwin Gyimah was forced off the pitch in just 36 minutes while in action for SuperSport United who beat Orlando Pirates 2-1 at the Orlando Stadium on Saturday.

Goalkeeper Fatau Dauda failed to make the Pirates first team squad.

ITALY

AC Milan battled to a slim 1-0 home win over Hellas Verona. Sulley Muntari was not in the Milan team but youngster Godfred Donsah sat Verona bench.

Raman Chibsah was a full-timer for Sassuolo in their 2-0 home reverse to Torino.

Parma fought from behind to beat Chievo Verona 2-1 at their own backyard. Midfielder Afriyie Acquah came off the bench toplay the last five minutes of the game for Parma but Maxwell Acosty warmed the bench for Chievo.

Midfielder Isaac Cofie was in superb shape as he played full time for Genoa who beat Inter Milan 1-0. He was booked in the 39th minute.

Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu scored a superb volley for Udinese in their 3-2 home loss to Lazio. The Liverpool-target's goal is a goal of the week contender.

Kwadwo Asamoah played 80 minutes for Juventus in their 4-2 win over Sampdoria.

Alfred Duncan played 46 minutes for Livorno when they lost 3-0 at AS Roma.

FRANCE

Ghana defender John Boye has yet to return to action for Stade Rennes as he was not in their squad when they drew o-0 with Evian TG. Jonathan Mensah played the full 90 minutes for Evian.

Jordan Ayew lasted 81 minutes for Sochaux who got beaten 2-0 by Montpellier.

Abdul Majeed Waris' Valenciennes could not play over the weekend as their Ligue 1 tie with Marseille was rained off.

In the Ligue 2, AS Monaco loanee Dennis Appiah was at the heart of defence for Caen who beat Laval 2-1.

UAE

Asamoah Gyan played full-time but was unable to find the net for Al Ain who drew 0-0 with bottom-place Ajman.

SAUDI ARABIA

In the Pro League, former Ghana U17 star striker Saddick Adams played 58 minutes for Al Nahdha when they won 1-0 against Al Raed.

SPAIN

Richmond Boakye-Yiadom came off the bench to play 14 minutes for Elche FC in their 2-0 win over Rayo Vallecano in the Spanish La Liga.

Neither Richard Boateng, Fataw Mohammed nor Clifford Aboagye made the Granada FC squad when they drew 0-0 against Osasuna.

In the Segunda Division, Atletico Madrid loanee Thomas Partey scored in the 63rd minute for Real Mallorca who beat Sabadell 4-1.

In the Segunda B, former Kotoko midfielder Michael Anaba played 83 minutes for Elche II in their 4-1 away loss against Villarreal II.

CYPRUS

Carlos Ohene played until the 90th minute before he was replaced by AEL Limassol in their 3-1 win over Omonia Nicosia. Ebo Andoh warmed the bench for Limassol.

Mustapha Quanyor was a full timer for Alki who lost 2-1 to Apollon on their home grounds.

NETHERLANDS

Elvis Manu came a winning start at Cambuur after helping them to beat Go Ahead Eagles 2-0. Kodjo Amevor came off the bench to play for GAE.

Christian Atsu scored the opening goal for Vitesse Arnhem in their 2-1 win at PEC Zwolle. Fred Benson came off the substitute bench to play after 73 minutes.

FC Twente remained glued to third place on the Eredivisie section after a 3-0 home triumph over Heracles Almelo. Whizkid Shadrach Eghan dropped to the bench but Kwame Quansah started for Heracles Almelo while Edwin Gyasi warmed the bench.

Matthew Amoah was not the Heracles team.

Jeffrey Sarpong came off the bench after 61 minutes to play for NAC Breda who were dismantled 3-0 by AZ Alkmaar.

FRIENDLIES

Ishmael Yartey and Ebenezer Assifuah both played for FC Sion in their 1-0 win over Arsenal Tula.

But Neither Kevin-Prince Boateng nor Anthony Annan were in action for Schalke 04 in their slim 1-0 win over Oberhausen on Sunday.
