Official: Yusif Abubakar joins Medeama as assistant coach

Ghana Premier League side Medeama have announced that Yusif Abubakari has joined the club as assistant coach.

Abubakari left league champions Berekum Chelsea at the end of last season where he played a key role in their campaign.

He has agreed a two-year-deal and comes on board with a wealth of experience from All Blacks and Hearts of Oak.

Abubakar was linked with the Asante Kotoko and

"Yes I signed a two year deal with them (Medema SC) today and I'm happy with the terms of the contract," Abubakar disclosed to www.medeamasc.com.

"I decided not to join Kotoko because of some circumstances that I don't want to make public. But I like this club and I think they will offer me a better platform and peace of mind to work."

Medeama finished fourth last season and have aimed at the league title this term when the new campaign begins on 9 October.
