Speaking via Mirror, Alan Shearer was impressed by the cubs’ newest star Bruno Guimaraes’ performance.
The Brazilian, who joined the Magpies for a club-record £43million fee from Lyon in January, has already become a key player for the club.
Pundit believes that the midfielder could play in any Premier League to club following his current form.
“Other than the first 15 minutes against Spurs, I thought Newcastle were the better team and they deserved their win.
“The big thing for me when I watch them is how fit they look when they press, and how well organised they are. In midfield, Bruno Guimaraes has been so good, he could get into any team in the Premier League on his current form.” added Shearer.
