Barcelona are said to be interested in renewing veteran midfielder Sergio Busquet’s contract with the club.
As the January transfer window comes to a close, reports indicate that FC Barcelona will begin negotiations to renew the contract of veteran midfielder Sergio Busquets.
Despite recent speculation that the 34-year-old had not received an approach from the Blaugrana for a new deal, it seems that the club will be sitting down with Busquets next month to discuss his future at the club.
The Spanish international has been a key player for Barcelona for over a decade and his future at the club has been a topic of much debate in recent weeks. Furthermore, it is stated that there could be a possibility that Barcelona provide an option for Busquets to renew for one year but leave for MLS in January 2024, just before the new season in the USA begins.
