Chelsea managed to claim all three points against Dynamo Zagreb on Wednesday night despite having gone 1-0 down early into the game following a 7th minute opener from Bruno Petkovic.

Responding in style, Raheem Sterling converted a back-foot pass from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the 18th minute as he stroke hard to bring Chelsea back on level ground.

Debutant Denis Zakaria justified the 1.23 odd placed on Chelsea by 1xbet as he confidently finished off a loose ball in the enemies’ box on the 30th minute to as mark a perfect first start in his new career.

The midfielder has waited weeks for this opportunity which he clearly gave his best to see he gains trust in the manager’s eyes and Mason Mount believes Zakaria should have been named Man of the Match instead of him.

Indeed Zakaria deserved the Man of the Match as he made more impact in the game that Mount actually did. Zakaria was rated 8/10 due to his impression at both ends of the pitch, winning more tackles and hugely made an impact in the attacks.

Speaking after the game, Mount said; “The lads have been battering me the last couple of games I’ve got man of the match as they don’t think I deserved it, but today I don’t think I deserve it!

“Denis Zakaria came in and was unbelievable. He deserves man of the match more than me, and he scored as well!

“To step up after not playing, and starting the game, was brilliant. I’m very happy for him to get this opportunity and to do so well.”

Sadly for Denis he was subbed at the 70th minute mark after limping off injured with the severity of his injury yet to be determined.
