Jamie Carragher gives verdict on Marcus Rashford red card
Manchester United faced Copenhagen and suffered a defeat in a thrilling 4-3 game.
United opened the scoring as Rasmus Hojlund scored a double, however, Copenhagen equalised before the half-time and Marcus Rashford was sent off at the 42 minute.
Rashford was given a straight red card after felling Jelert when aiming to protect the ball.
This is never a red card
Rashford is looking to protect the ball and leaves his foot a little too high. That makes it at most a yellow card
Football fans this is not the same as the Jones and Romero red cards as he has the ball under control

Following the incident, Jamie Carragher took to X/Twitter to send a message as he disagreed with the verdict.
He wrote: “No way is that a red card for Rashford! Hate these slow motion replays & still images that make everything look 10 times worse.”
