President urges Premier League midfielder to sign with Arsenal
Israeli winger Manor Solomon, currently on loan at Fulham from Shakhtar Donetsk, could be set for a summer transfer to Premier League leaders Arsenal, according to former Maccabi Petah Tikva president, Avi Luzon.
Luzon believes that Shakhtar is interested in selling Solomon for financial reasons, and that the player could be available for a fee between €10m and €20m (£9m to £17m). Luzon suggests that the 21-year-old should secure his future by signing a five-season contract with a team that will offer him the opportunity to continue his development.
Having made his debut at Maccabi Petah Tikva in 2016, Solomon has been a regular for Shakhtar in recent seasons, impressing with his pace, dribbling ability and eye for goal. His performances have caught the attention of several European clubs, including Arsenal, who are reportedly interested in signing the Israel international this summer.
Speaking about Solomon’s potential move, Luzon stated: “In my opinion, he should go to Arsenal. I think he’s ready to play there. They do have an interest in selling him, in order to get money. He should receive a contract for five seasons and secure his future.”
