Legendary NBA center and TNT broadcaster Shaquille O’Neal has spoken out about the situation with colleague Charles Barkley, who this summer considered leaving basketball TV to commentate on golf.
“Charles is a close friend of mine. I would support him in anything. Like Bill Russell, Chuck is among the legends who didn’t make a lot of money when they played themselves. So if a chance comes along at this age that is legitimate – debatable, but legitimate – that option should be considered.
If he accepted the offer, I wouldn’t be mad. If Charles left TNT, I’d stay on his side,” Shaquille said.
