Eden Hazard confirmed his retirement from international football on Wednesday following Belgium’s elimination from World Cup 2022

Belgium were eliminated from World Cup 2022 group stages after finishing 3rd in Group F.

Hazard has been representing his country since 2008. He has made 126 appearances for Belgium first-team and scored 33 goals.

He took to Instagram to share the announcement, while Thibaut Courtois took to the comments section to send a message.

“A page turns today… Thank you for your love. Thank you for your unparalleled support. Thank you for all this happiness shared since 2008. I have decided to put an end to my international career. The succession is ready. I will miss you….#onestensemble,” Hazard wrote.

Meanwhile, Courtois replied with two emojis.
