Daniil, meanwhile, reached the final at his second consecutive tournament.

In the semi-finals, Medvedev defeated Felix Auger Aliassime (6-4, 7-6), whom he also defeated last week in Rotterdam (6-2, 6-4). This time too, Medvedev won in two sets. Against the Canadian, Daniil served six aces, converted three break points out of seven and missed two of his serves.

Moreover, Medvedev returned three set points in the tie-break of the second set.
