Daniil Medvedev:

Medvedev failed to make a good start to the season. The Russian failed to perform well in Adelaide and at the Australian Open. In the first, he reached the semi-finals, while in the second, he shuffled off in the third round.

Daniil, meanwhile, was seeded and started in the second round of the Qatar Open.

In the first match, Medvedev defeated Liam Broady (6-4, 6-3).

He was not crushed as expected. Moreover, the Russian was losing with a break in the first set.

Medvedev, however, recovered very quickly, but the game was still a nervous one. In the second set, Daniil calmly grinded his way to victory.

Medvedev’s winning streak now stands at six games. Last week, he took the title in Rotterdam, defeating Jannik Sinner (5-7, 6-2, 6-2) in the final encounter.
