Kokkinakis also managed to play a series of hard-court matches before travelling to New York, but unlike Kyrgios, he did not make much progress.
What is more, Thanasi could only make it through the first round in Los Cabos. While in Atlanta, Cincinnati and Winston-Salem he did not win a single match.
