Real Madrid vs Liverpool – Second leg |
Date: Wednesday, 15 March 2023 |
Kick-off: 21:00 CET|
Venue: Santiago Bernabeu |
The Whites may have won the first leg 5-2 at Anfield last month, they are likely to win the return leg at home because they are overly ambitious when it comes to the Champions League. Liverpool lost to 20th-placed Bournemouth 1-0 on Saturday while Madrid enjoyed a comfortable comeback 3-1 win over Espanyol.
It’s not a coincidence that the reverse fixture ended in this manner in Liverpool last month. Because both teams are good goalscoring sides and Real Madrid are the better side, there’s a huge chance the Whites could replicate their first leg performance at home on Wednesday night.
Madrid won the first leg 5-2 at Anfield in February and will look to win at home in the return leg against Liverpool. They are in high confidence after they came from behind to beat Espanyol 3-1 at home while Jurgen Klopp’s side succumbed to a shock 1-0 defeat at Bournemouth, six days after their massacre against Manchester United.
The Reds
Klopp’s men fell short when they failed to make their huge 7-0 win over Manchester United last weekend count against Bournemouth. The Cherries took an early lead in the first half and went on to win the game 1-0 after the visitors failed to turn the event around.
Los Blancos: Courtois, Carvajal, Eder, Rudiger, Camavinga, Modric, Tchouameni, Kroos, Valverde, Rodrygo, Vinicius Jr.

Sunday’s game will be played at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium [Madrid].
