Zapata’s agent denies Inter contact but insists “anything is possible”

Duvan Zapata’s agent has denied there is contact between his client and Inter but refused to rule out an Atalanta exit this summer.

After a slow start, Gian Piero Gasperini has gotten the best out of the Colombian in Bergamo, with Duvan netting nine times in December, coming close to an all-time record for goals scored in a single month.

“We don’t know of any interest in Zapata from Inter,” the Fernando Schena said to FCInter1908.

“There has been no contact recently. Neither me or my partner Fernando Villarreal have been contacted by the club.

“Interest from a great club like Inter is always a pleasure, but at the moment there is nothing.

“For the time being, no club has asked us for information.

Atalanta fans’ concerns won’t be lifted for long, though, with Schena refusing to rule out a summer move

“It is very difficult for such an important transfer to happen in the winter window.

“In the summer? Anything is possible in football.”
