Zesco United coach George Lwandamina is confident his charges can turn the tables when they host Medeama in the return fixture of the CAF Confederation Cup this weekend.
The Ghanaian sides pace and power was a class above their visitors from Zambia who suffered their first competitive defeat under new coach George Lwandamina after four games in charge.
Godbless Asamoah and Kwame Boahene were in inspired form as Medeama strolled to their third successive home win in the competition.
A goal in each half from Nathaniel Asamoah and Michael Helegbe handed the home side the win at Sekondi.
However, Lwandamina, who joined the side last month insists the tie is far from over.
“It’s not over at all. We have the second leg to play and we’ll also take our chances,†he told GHANAsoccernet.com
“The early goal unsettled my boys but we came into the picture pretty well. We would have loved to at least go home with a goal but that was never to be.
“We are going back to prepare adequately for Medeama in Ndola. We know we have to score three unanswered goals to qualify and I think it’s not a mission impossible.â€
Zesco must beat Medeama 3-0 on Sunday in the final leg in Ndola to keep their interest in the competition alive.
