Zidane reignites interest in Ajax midfielder Van de Beek (Le10 Sport)

Aware that the chances of landing Paul Pogba from Manchester United are reduced, Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has once again turned his attention to the Dutchman Donny van de Beek.

The Ajax midfielder flirted with Madrid last summer but remained in Amsterdam. Now, Le 10 Sport report that Zidane is once again keen and has personally phoned him to talk about the future.

Van de Beek is Zidane's second option. The French coach wants Pogba but a deal is tough as United will not make it easy and sell for a good price -- his agent, Mino Raiola, is a typically tough negotiator, too.

Therefore, Madrid have turned to Van de Beek again. They have followed him for a long time and the Dutch international has always shown a desire to move to the La Liga side.

However, he also has offers from Premier League sides (including one from the newly ambitious Newcastle United) so Los Blancos may have to move quickly.
